Memorable Wedding: A Wedding Miracle Just for the Bride

Reminder: our very own Lisa and LeeAnn are a wedding planner and a photographer. It’s rare that we get to work a wedding together, so that in and of itself is pretty special. It was a fall day and the venue was super unique because it was at the Nasher Sculpture Center. Both the ceremony and reception were taking place in the lush garden amongst the various modern sculptures and fountains. The floral arrangements were out of this world, with dreamy pinks and whites mixed with brass. The florist, Coco Fleur Events, also brought in additional white leather round loungers to add to the dramatic effect. White lights hung over the whole reception area. The band, Trey and the Tritones, and the stage were at the center of it all. It was beautifully set for an outdoor wedding.

We both fell in love with this sweet down-to-earth family, so we really wanted to make the day perfect for them. In the morning, the forecast was predicting a 92% chance of rain. The bride wanted to wait and see what happened. We had until 1 pm to make a final call and move everything inside. So we waited. And we prayed. At 1 pm it had dropped to a 50% chance of rain. We decided to just go for it and keep everything outside. We didn’t see a drop of rain that day, and it was absolutely perfect! It really felt like a wedding miracle just for the bride, because we found out later that it had been raining pretty much everywhere around downtown Dallas. Phew!

All Set Up and Praying for No Rain

At the reception, there were so many special touches that made the celebration memorable. They had a mobile robotic photo booth that rolled around the area, AND they had a static photo booth set-up with props. They had a cigar roller and a Steel City Pops cart handing out treats and favors. Wolfgang Puck catered the lovely meal and everyone danced the night away under the stars. It was truly magical. The sweet couple decided to take a full two weeks off of work and enjoy an extended honeymoon, and we’re so glad they got to do it before the pandemic. We’re so thankful and blessed that we got to be a part of their special day!
